Dr. Salman is currently the head of product development at QuantLase Research and development Center. He brings EU industry expertise on Photonic integrated chip tech development to QRDC where he is enabling the roadmap to transition from lab to chip. Prior to QRDC he was leading the process integration on high performance Mach Zehnder modulator chips at Lumentum Technology, a project with clients like Ciena and Nokia. He previously was part of a team enabling integration of photonic chips onto high capacity hard disk drives (HAMR) at Seagate Technology US. At QRDC he is a part of a dynamic team enabling product innovation using chip platform. Dr. Abdul Ghaffar, born in 1991 in Pakistan, earned his bachelor's degree from QUEST Nawabshah in 2014, a master’s from Indus University in 2017, and a Ph.D. in Instrumentation Technology from North University of China in 2020. He completed his postdoctoral research at the Wuhan Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2023. Formerly a lecturer at Indus University, Karachi. Since 2023, Dr. Ghaffar has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Quzhou University in China. He has published over 60 SCI papers, holds eight patents, and reviews for numerous high-impact international journals.
